@qeresi - beautifully done friend. One of my top choices/faves for interactive stories. The interpersonal communication and fluff is fantastic and well thought out - even to the point of making fluff help define characters (D's plottings, X's interruptions). *chef's kiss* 🤌
I am so glad I found this game. I've been sleep deprived for the last two days going through the chapters. The writing is so good, it has returned to me the thrill of reading. Personally, I adore D since I'm a sucker for the stoic person for everyone, soft person for mc character types. Unfortunately, I'm currently in an unsteady relationship with him 🥲

As of CH11, nope! A is a bit more reserved in that regard, so it'll take a while longer compared to X or R, for example. But they'll definitely get some eventually 👀
The Crown's gender is completely up to the player's personal headcanons, it won't come up in the story at any point, so if you decide your Crown is trans then they're trans. Choosing your Crown's pronouns is also disconnected from that. If you give your Crown she/her pronouns, for example, the game doesn't automatically assume the Crown is a cis woman; it's purely about how they wish to be addressed by others.
Also, it's important to note that in Arsur, gender isn't assigned at birth. So in the game, being cisgender or transgender doesn't really exist in the same way, if that makes sense. Everyone decides individually as they grow up how they express their gender and what feels most natural to them. Some might physically change their bodies, others might not--you can also headcanon that as you like, since the game won't go into that for the Crown either.
I am literally in love with this if!!! The details, the story, the characters.. every aspect is so interesting :) I do have some things to say about X though

Okay, so first off WTF??? Dude just went off and fucked someone else (I mean we've only known each other for a week so I shouldn't have expected him to be devoted to me or anything yk) and never even responded to my letters???? Made me tear up.
His entire backstory made me sad as well. I seriously hope he'll find peace with himself eventually.
Anyway, THE KISS IN CHAPTER ELEVEN??? HELLO???? Shit had me grinning and giggling like a little girl.
Live laugh love X. Angst makes me wanna sob my eyeballs out though !!! <3
X is definitely my main route, It's always the roguish charmers that get me, can't wait for the next chapters to be released but I can't decide whether to wait for them all or go one by one.
Buuuttt I will say, depending on your 'Relationship' status he either will/won't send you a letter. There's like two specific points that determine things like that (For all RO's) You can either be 'Progressing well' or 'unsteady' and it will determine things like that for each RO. If X is 'progressing well' he's all giggly when receiving your letter and sends one back, Still sleeps with someone though >:(
At this point, I find it more fitting to have an unsteady status with him if he's gonna do that either way. I understand it's part of his charac that he can't just dismantle just coz of the Crown since things between them are just starting, and even at this point they still barely know each other.
But yeah. I dislike angst if used needlesly, but somehow the angst in his route gave it flavor. I CAN'T TURN AWAY FROM IT.
Looking forward to more chapters and the game's completion!

I’m not sure if anyone is interested but I added A Tale of Crowns to StoryGraph. (Qeresî please let me know if you would like for me to delete it!) I just figured might as well log my reading with it since I spend so much time playing through it. I absolutely adore this story!!!! Currently on my second play through (restarted when chapter 11 was released, romancing Azad) and I cannot get enough.
I really love your work, all the characters are a pleasure, the world is beautiful and lovely to learn more about, the decisions and choices are both natural and important with great changes.
I like the Crown, their personality, decisions, ability, I'm not sure if it's because of the character traits I chose or their basic quality but I still really enjoyed them. All the romance paths are a delight and full of emotions I didn't know I could feel.

I hope though that each Love Interests matters while personal will be somehow touched upon in the future even if it's not in their respective paths. I would feel too saddened for some like R who might never learn truth or A and D who's pasts are sensitive and connected. Or X never finding peace with himself. Their matters seem too important both to themselves and those around to just be ignored. I hope they will be able to overcome their issues either with Crowns help (if the friendship is strong enough) or by themselves.
By the way my favourite scene is probably the artists performance from pleasure houses. I loved the story and visual descriptions in my head.

in love with this game, im so hooked on it <3 on a different note- do yall know which choices are the best in priotizing the public? i went time and time again, for me, its ends up that i somehow havent priotized the public enough or the same thing happening but enzo getting seriously injured and the magus dying by the assassion by the prison event
To prevent the magus from dying you have to make sure to move the prisoner to the marabad prison and NOT keep them in the palace dungeon. To prioritize the public do things like opening the coronation up to the public, pulling the curtains back on the way to the coronation, stuff like that. Also I don't remember completely but if Enzo was the one who gets injured when the assassin escapes then you have to say yes to adding extra security during the coronation. When I did that Enzo only had a broken arm, there might be a route where he isn't injured at all but I don't know it :/
there is by sending the prisoner to marabad, ezo will be safe from harm as well as the magus butttttt another life will be claimed? i think it was a citizennnnn or something i forgot

This is so beautifully written, sometimes stories can be a bit challenging to visualize, but the way you describe every intricate detail is soooo good that I feel like I can visualize everything! And my gosh the interaction between the characters is amazing to the point where I struggle to pick which route I want to play (i'm playing all routes mind you), but I'm pretty sure i spent at least 10 minutes trying to decide who i wanted to romance next. Thank you for writing this and I'm excited to see where this goes!!

THEY KISSED?!! holy spirits i'm a sucker for good old kissing scene and i was honestly thinking that i want my crown and X to kiss but figured it was still too early they aren't even official yet but then they kissed??! and that was PERFECT?! like, the author didn't just slap down "and then they kissed" but it was so beautifully described and stretched out to the right amount it left me satisfied and wanting more at the same time aaahhhh i'm gonna combust-
This is absolutely AMAZING The customization, the characters, the writing, the STORYLINE???? A THOUSANDTIMES AMAZING. I also love that you can change the fonts, really helps with my poor reading skills.

Still one of favorites.. I keep coming back and have probably played more than one time for each RO.
Rozerîn is my favorite and has my heart 😍 her flustered and blushing dialogues are of some of my favorite moments.

It doesn't let me. I'm playing on Android with the DuckDuckGo Browser and when I click "Save to Files" it just snaps back to the menu.
