Chapter Eight Progress & Release Date
It’s been a while since I wrote one of these. Suffice it to say the winter months haven’t been kind to me, to put it mildly, but I have still been working on Chapter Eight for as much as personal circumstances have allowed.
Chapter Eight has shaped up to be very plot and lore-oriented. That isn’t to say that the relationships and romances will take a backseat, but I definitely think the plot developments, codex drops and the outcomes of certain choices are going to be the highlights this time around!
Specific things you can expect from Chapter Eight:
- Solidifying friendships with the cast
- A little bit of the mystery around the Crown’s parents is revealed
- The pacing of the story picks up and the Crown will finally find out what it’s like to actually be the Crown
- A lot of lore. I repeat, a lot of lore!
- Your Crown’s chosen LI doing a little reflecting on your conversation at the end of Chapter Seven, which may lead them onto new paths
- The LI portraits are finally added to their codex entries!
- You’ll finally get to see the map of Arsur added to the codex!
- Added the option to change your Crown’s pronouns at any point in the story from the Character Traits passage. Changing it won’t be addressed in the story itself (coding a scene for it would be too difficult, timing wise) but the option is there now!
In case you haven’t seen it, I’ve already posted a preview for Chapter Eight, but there will be more previews on the Tumblr blog incoming in February! I also still have Dara’s bonus story on my to-do list, so you’ll have that to look forward to before the chapter drops as well (you can find Delal’s and X’s bonus stories here).
And finally, considering we’re so close to spring now, I think I will tentatively pick a date for when Chapter Eight will be officially released: March 20, which is also the day of Newroz, Kurdish new year! Ko-fi supporters will have several days of early access, but the public release will be on that date.

Yeah! Winter is bad, because the heavy snow, i meant wow, that's a lot of snow and it's still snowing, and waiting for tomorrow it's sunny and no more snow. but I am happy for you keeping us updated, and i love this game and the chapters are awesome. So exciting for next chapter.
